I just spoke to Medion helpdesk (or not-so-help desk, depending on the issue). He said that the 96500 drivers on the Medion website are not necessarily updates, even though they were only put on the website yesterday. For example, he said that the touchpad driver on the website is the same as the one that comes loaded with the system - but that I would need to check each one to see if it's an update from my 96500. Is this true? The way he spoke didn't give me any confidence. I would think that if they loaded all of these yesterday, they are most likely updates. Should I load all of these drivers from the website or do I have to check each on individually?

I had to tell them what I wanted and the support guy knew nothing of an updated driver but eventually he asked others and found it and sent it to me and I have installed it. I think the Medion website needs to be updated to include this new laptop unit; MD96500 and updated drivers.

On the Medion Germany website there is a whole bunch of 'updates', including a BIOS update from A0N to A0O that together with a touchpad driver update will resolve the lockup issue. I will be in the queue at ALDI (UK) in the morning to buy one I bought mine last week when it came out in the uk. Got it home, opened it up. Flight Sim didnt work. Also the TV Tuner was awful and doesnt pick up Digital (FreeView) Not only that but I emailed Medion about this and they never replied!

Then the keyboard and touchpad froze up several times, looked on Medion website and no updated drivers so I though Ill put up with it and see if they bring a driver out. Tonight it done it again, so I held the shut down button and started the 96500 back up. It wouldnt start up. The same error message popped up everytime so I packed it all up and took it back to the shop and got a refund. I am now very unhappy with Medion and will be contacting the office of fair trading about this as I checked the website for driver updates but there was none.
